Also known as NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber), Nitrile rubber sheeting is a synthetic material with special properties that put it in high demand in the aeronautical, petrochemical and automotive industries. This is because it is resistant to most petroleum based fluids, oils and greases.

Nitrile rubber is also tough and temperature resistant. It resists cuts, abrasion and tears, and is three times more puncture resistant than natural rubber. It is best used indoors because it is not happy with weathering or sunlight exposure.
